Phantasy Star Online 2

PSO2 or Phantasy Star Online 2 is free to play MORPG (Multiplayer Online Role Play Game) in Phantasy Star Series published by SEGA. It was released for PC on July 4^th 2012, and for PS Vita on February 28^th 2013. A spin-off game, Phantasy Star Online 2es, was released for Android on April 7^th 2014 and for iOS on May 14^th 2014.
For a Free to Play game, PSO2 isn't too greedy at limiting the game features for some player who didn't want to spend some money. Some premium features like custom room theme actually intended for people who have a dedication to fully support this game.

Even though PSO2 itself already three years old, I think this game is one of some games that continue to evolve over the time. Want to know why this game is always continue to evolve over the time? let's check it out...

Graphics

 

PSO2 graphics just normal, or maybe you can say "not too good than the games nowdays", even a lowcost PC can play this game too. But the good point is at character details. Like old Phantasy Star Series, you'll be given out a plenty option to create your character as you want. Even i spend 3 hours to make one characters.

For the map design it's not too alive, got a boundary there and seems like arcade games ? but the good one is when you see your character fighting the boss. Plenty special effect, a giant boss with special attack, and much more, it feels you're entering SAO ? LOL.

Gameplay

Gameplay in PSO2 is very easy unlike other free to play MORPG, PSO2 got 2 type of combat view camera when playing. Lock on for focusing into one mobs or boss parts, and manual aim where the camera changed into 3rd person shooter view.
There's 8 Classes in PSO2 japan server that you can use. Every classes got a different combat style and weapon to use but all class weapon can be used by all class (you don't say), the weapon (except magic / tech) got different attack style skill and you can set your combo skill into the weapon. PSO2 is kinda unique, why unique ? it's because you can change your class every time, and every classes got a different level

A different from other RPG games where's every one have one role to play in some combat, PSO2 gives you a freedom to choose some classes what you love to play and helping each other to clear the mission. It's easy to became a good player in PSO2 if you follow up some advice below (lol i'm giving some advice, but i'm not pro) :

• Attacking the mobs / boss nonstop.
• Helping each other player using healing item or moon atomizer to revive some player that died there.
• Using special skill from some classes like (weak bullet) or using element weak to stun some giant bosses (for magatsu can't be stunned with element).
• Prefer doing in party for some raid quest (they're calling raid is emergency quest btw) rather than solo play.

PSO2 is using room system where you need to create a room before starting the quest, and the room got maximum peeps by 12 player, and divided into 3 full party, and for the area is divided into 2 area, it's multi-party area or single party area, multi-party area is the area where you can see the other party in one area and single party is for one party allowed. When starting a mission you can invite your friend into your party max is 3 player or using NPC instead. PSO2 NPC system called friend partner, it's very unique, you can register your own friend partner to be used by someone.

The difficulty in PSO2 is kinda awesome lol, it's because the boss damage are pretty high deal, especially above hard difficulty. The boss can makes you died within 5 attack, and there's some special attack you need to be careful enough because the boss can kill you with one hit instead, you need to know the timing when it's the time for attack or defending (some striking class with some weapon got special attack like counter attack when defending).

Looting system in PSO2 is every player got his/her loot, so you don't need to worry about dividing the loot.

Fashion

Fashion in PSO2 seems like at Tokyo ? Akiba ? or Paris ? in digital version lol, where's every update there's always new costume with a different theme. Unlike other MMORPG the costume that makes your character strong or greater, in PSO2 the costume just for cosplaying.

after spending a lot of money (meseta) it's the time to cosplay at lobby lol

The reason why some player spending a lot money in game or real money to buy some cash is for hunting the new costume lol, you can choose your costume as you want, like yukata, seifuku (school uniform), or some NPC alike costume.

Other than that SEGA always doing some anime or games collaboration like yuru yuri, fate series, shingeki no kyojin, space battleship yamato 2199, shining series, tales series, project diva, and much more

Event

From what i experienced when playing this game, PSO2 got a plenty event that the other MMORPG i guess. for combat event (raid) there's a schedule for it at some hours with a different raid each day like slaying magatsu, dark falz, mining base defense, collecting point to clear the raid, and season event like valentine ? white day ? lol.

not only combat, there's a live concert event too in PSO2 where's local idol PSO2 (kuna) or Hatsune Miku and Megurine Luka ?

Conclusion

As a phantasy star series collector, this game is very recommended for you who loves anime and extreme combat phase. Other than combat system is fashion, that's one reason for some otaku (anime geeks) trying to play this games.

casino area is the place to wasting time other than decorating room

Actually this is just some short explanation or maybe a review lol, the classes guide, crafting system and other more will come later
